A Mexicanish Field Force

It seems that the Emperor won't trouble himself to annotate the photos so I publish them here without comment

  1. I can not annotate, what I can not access.

    This is primarily the Soldados force, The Hidalgos are still on the painting bench (Yeah, yeah I know, but none of you wankers are trying to field 52 28+mm horsemen).

    The first phote.
    Front Left is the company of the 2nd Line {M}
    Front 'Left of Center' is the company of the 11th Line {S}
    Front 'Right of Center' is G Company of the artillery
    H Company of artillery is completed but not pictured as they were at the farrier getting their horses shod and thus missed the photographer.
    Front Right is the Company of the 13th (Irish) line.
    Rear Right the company of the 4th Line {M}
    In the far rear is F Troop of the Federales, who while not part of the Soldados force (they are assigned to the Hidalgos column), are always willing to get their picture taken and thus were asked to stand in for E Troop of the Californios who were out on patrol.

    Finally, last but not least in the center is his generalship; Sebastian Maria Enuncio Rodrigo Santa Huevos.

    In the second photo, some deplorable Gringo violating all the cardinal rules of "How Not To Be Seen", but with fantastically appropriate facial hair, is shown behind the troops, pay no attention to this silly man.
